Clik here to view.Donald Trump. The name alone garners immediate reactions. His presidential campaign has made him the biggest and perhaps the most polarizing name in the world today.
But this article isn't about the man's politics. This article is about the man’s fragrance line.
It is nearly impossible to find unbiased reviews for Trump’s fragrances due to so many people either loving him or hating him.
As a fragrance connoisseur and reviewer, I feel like that does a disservice to those interested in trying a scent. So I took it upon myself to write unbiased reviews on Trump's fragrances.
Then after that I took the scents to the streets to do a blind test and to get unbiased responses from women, to see how they feel about Trump's colognes.
Donald Trump, The Fragrance
Right off the bat, Donald Trump, The Fragrance opens with a commanding spicy pepper note. Below the spiciness there's a faint layer of cucumber, basil, and mint. It's not so much that those notes are weak as it is that the pepper is too strong. After an hour or so, the pepper finally subsides ever so slightly, making way for the cucumber to become more prominent while welcoming notes of woods, vetiver, and light citruses emerge.

Success
This is a very clean, subtle scent. This is not "fresh out of the shower" clean, with soap lingering on the body. This is more of a "fresh in the shower" clean. Smooth birch, bamboo, and ginger notes dominate this scent in a very linear manner. Hints of the fruity red currant note make appearances throughout the duration of the scent, disappearing and reappearing, but never fully there.

Empire
Empire starts with a powerful, spicy, peppermint apple accord. As it dries down, a quiet whisper of orange blossoms and amber intermingle in the background, assisting in making the scent sweeter and warmer without losing the pronounced spicy apple notes.

What do women think about Trump?
I took to the streets to ask ten women what they think of Trump's fragrance line and what they think of the man himself. Disclaimer: This is by no means a scientific survey, but in order to ensure the results are unbiased I have provided the responses of all ten women that agreed to take part in the survey and have written their responses in the order I approached them. To protect their anonymity I didn't ask for last names. First, without knowing what fragrance they were trying, I gave these women a blind test of each scent. Then only after they gave their opinions of the fragrances did I ask them their opinions of presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The fragrances were blind tested in the following order:
1) Donald Trump, The Fragrance
2) Success
3) Empire
Kelly (College Student):
1) "This is weird, but I like it."
2) "Mmm, I like this. I want this for my boyfriend."
3) "It smells like something a player would wear. Too obnoxious."
Thoughts on Trump:"The only thing he should be leading is a reality show, if even that. It's time for a woman to be in the White House."
Maya (College Student):
1) "This one is a little dirty."
2) "This one is the opposite of that one. Has this cleanliness to it."
3) "Oh wow, this is perfect. Sexy, spicy, sweet. Naughty. I don't think many men could get away with this, but the right man can."
Thoughts on Trump:"Full disclosure: I was a Bernie girl, but it's looking more and more like his idea for a revolution is 'if you can't beat the establishment, join the establishment' and that's not a revolution. That's building a campaign off a lie. We've had enough liars in office. My vote is going to Trump. He's the only one that doesn't care what the establishment thinks and always speaks his mind."
Jennifer (Waitress):
1) "No."
2) "No."
3) "And no."
Thoughts on Trump:"Definitely no."
Katharine (Professor):
1) "I don't think I've ever smelled anything like this. It's different."
2) "This is a good one."
3) "Oh no. Way over the top for me. I have a sensitive nose."
Thoughts on Trump:"Don't get me started on him. Seriously, I don't want to talk about him."
Sarah (Barista):
1) "I smell pepper. That's all I smell."
2) "I could see someone wearing this at work. Like an office worker or CEO or something."
3) "This is really really hot. I need to know the name of this."
Thoughts on Trump:"Misunderstood. The media completely distorts everything he says."
Debra (Retired):
1) "I really enjoy this one."
2) "This is nice. Light and nice."
3) "Much too strong."
Thoughts on Trump:"Can I say 'no comment'? I'd like to say 'no comment.'"
Susan (Human Resources Manager):
1) "Strong!"
2) "Simple."
3) "Powerful."
Thoughts on Trump:"I think if voters looked at all our options honestly, they would agree that even if he's not their favorite person, he's the only viable choice to be president."
Amber (Cashier):
1) "I like it."
2) "This is good too. I think this is better than the first."
3) "I like this one too, but my favorite is still the second one."
Thoughts on Trump:"If it were up to me there would be no Donald, no Bernie, no Hillary. We'd find a way to put Bill back in office. I like Hillary, but she is not her husband and doesn’t have what it takes to lead."
Laylee (Dance Instructor):
1) "So strong. Smells like something from the kitchen. Like my grandma would cook."
2) "It's okay."
3) "Oh I like this one. I like this a lot. This is like what I expect a man to smell like. Especially in a club."
Thoughts on Trump:"Let me make this clear. My family came here legally from Mexico. They worked hard to give me this life and I'm working hard to pay my parents back for the life they provided me. Bold it, highlight it, underline it, whatever you have to do to make it clear — my family are all Trump supporters."
Sanaa (Men's Cologne Sales Assistant):
1) "Spicy! It's all spices. I need something more."
2) "It's nice but not my type. I prefer cologne that tells a story."
3) "Sexy!"
Thoughts on Trump:"Tough but the right amount of tough. He seems to be the only one that wants to address the real issues."

In the grand scheme of things, a fragrance review cannot be influenced by anything but the scent. Whether it's your opinion of the scent or those around you, the only thing that should matter is the scent itself. That's why this little experiment was so important. Because while the women's views on Donald Trump himself widely differed, their views on his fragrance line were generally positive. Now it's up to you. Your opinions of the man aside, what do you think of Donald Trump's fragrance line?
